The “Z Rovečného na rozhlednu Horní les” hiking route begins in the square in Rovečné and runs along a red-marked hiking trail for its entire length. Horní les is 774.3 metres high and the highest point of the Svratecká hornatina.
The local amenities include the multifunctional sports court in Rovečné near the school. It is currently available only for tennis and volleyball; available times can be checked via the booking function.
Nature
The “Rozhledna Horní les” is open to the public every year from 15 April to 15 October. From the small car park opposite the health centre, the path to Horní les is accessible only to pedestrians and cyclists.
The Rovečné swimming pool is located in the upper part of the village, on its northern edge, and is used as a natural swimming area in summer. It measures 30 × 25 metres and is up to 2 metres deep.
Culture and History
The “St Martin's Church” in Rovečné is a single-nave Baroque building. Its façade features a tower erected in 1721. The church bell dates from 1547. The complex, including the cemetery, cemetery wall and surrounding lime trees, is protected as a cultural monument.
The Evangelical Church in Rovečné was completed within 15 months after construction began in 1897. Its organ was supplied by the Tuček company from Kutná Hora and is still in use today.
The memorial to those who fell in the First World War was ceremonially unveiled on 28 October 1928.
