The bell tower in Křídla is a protected cultural monument dating from 1843.

Culture and History

On 26 September 2024, the bell tower in Křídla was moved approximately 18 metres away from the busy road. Jan Blažek decorated the façade of the cultural centre in Křídla with sgraffiti. Building Rychta No. 1, which formerly also included a brewery, dates back to the 16th century. The hamlet of Lamplotův mlýn, already mentioned in 1587, also belongs to the municipality of Křídla.

Events

The Křídla Festival takes place every year at the cultural centre of the municipality of Křídla. It combines concerts, theatre, exhibitions, food and drinks, a church service, a clothes bazaar and film screenings. The first edition of the festival took place in 2000.

Landscape and Trails

Křídla lies on the southern boundary of the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. Road II/385 runs through Křídla and leads towards Olešná and Brno. The marked, non-regional Mlynářská stezka cycling route also passes through the Křídla area. Its section between Nové Město na Moravě, Křídla and Zvole runs through this locality.
