Nyklovice: Hotels and Accommodation

The Vír–Chlum–Nyklovice–Hlásnice–Svojanov hiking route passes through Nyklovice. Most of this route follows footpaths and field paths.

History

Nyklovice was first mentioned in 1335 under the name Mikulášovice (Mikulovice). Nyklovice was donated to Doubravník Monastery by Jeruši, the daughter of Jimram of Aušperk.

Culture

The Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk was built in 1864 in the village square of Nyklovice. It is listed as a cultural monument. The Chapel of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was built in Nyklovice in 1934 and is considered a feature of the local architectural identity.

Nature

The southern part of the Nyklovice municipal area south of Road II/375 covers approximately 217.13 hectares and is part of the Svratecká hornatina Nature Park. Mount Kočíko is located in the vicinity of Nyklovice, as is Mount Librův Kopec. Mount Drašarov is located in the vicinity of Nyklovice, as is Mount Babylon.
