The Na Špičáku area is designated as a European Site of Community Importance. It is also home to a regionally significant wintering site for the lesser horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus hipposideros).

Nature

Jeskyně Na Špičáku runs through Velký Špičák Mountain (516 m above sea level), which lies between Písečná and Supíkovice in the Supíkovice Uplands. The first written mention of the cave dates from 1430. Above Chebzí, the semi-dry meadows become an orchid-rich habitat during the spring months.

Educational Trail and Landscape

The six-kilometre Po stopách doby ledové educational trail leads through valleys, rock formations, moraine ridges and spring areas to Jeskyně Na Špičáku. Along the way, the educational trail offers a view of Jezero Florián, a lake created by sandstone quarrying.

The information panels along the Po stopách doby ledové educational trail are complemented by educational and entertaining play elements. The route also features a rest area for cyclists with a bicycle rack and solar charger.

Culture and History

The Kostel sv. Jana Křtitele church in Písečná was rebuilt in its present form in 1751–1752. The protected church grounds include the cemetery, surrounding wall, mortuary and the exterior staircase on the west side.

In Chebzí stands Kaple v Chebzí, a wooden example of folk architecture dating from the late 19th century; its creator is unknown.
