Nature and Landscape

Filipka is a protected natural monument in the cadastral area of Návsí u Jablunkova. It protects a 1.0642-hectare pasture with a stand of common juniper of varying ages. Rohovec is also protected: the natural monument preserves the habitat of wood ants.

In the vicinity of Návsí, two mountain ranges are separated by the broad valley of the Olše.

Trails and Activities

The tourist and nature trail Halamova stezka starts in Návsí and is approximately 20 km long. On the border ridge with Poland, it connects to yellow-, red- and blue-marked hiking trails. Cycle Route No. 10 Olza–Olše between Jablunkov and Třinec also runs through Návsí. It is part of the long-distance main cycle route that leads from the Polish border to Chotěbuž.

A local reservoir in Návsí may be used for fishing with the required permit. The Návsí paintball area offers paintball in a natural setting, as well as well-maintained grounds and equipment.

History and Culture

The Evangelical Church of Návsí is a single-nave brick building in the Empire style. Its construction began in 1817, and it was consecrated in 1820. Návsí is also home to the remains of the small medieval fortification of Zámčisko.

The former Evangelical school in Návsí is now called Sborový dům Emaus and has served the general public for training and recreational stays since the 1990s. Sborový dům Emaus has five rooms with a total of 20 beds and two common rooms.

A Military Centre was opened in Návsí, originally combining two independent projects: the Archive of the Military History of Cieszyn Silesia and a private collection of heavy military equipment. At the Military Centre, visitors could admire tanks, military trucks and a newly built bunker.
