Lhotka: Hotels and Accommodation

Lhotka is characterized in the mountain context by several prominent points on Ondřejník and Ondřejnické sedlo. The highest and southernmost point of the cadastral area lies at an elevation of 900 metres and can be reached directly from Ondřejnické sedlo.

Geographical Location

The 890-metre-high summit of Ondřejník offers wide views due to the almost complete absence of trees. The municipality of Lhotka extends along the Ondřejník ridge as far as the summit of Suché úbočí at an elevation of 864 metres. Ondřejnické sedlo itself is a 757-metre-high saddle where the cadastral areas of Lhotka, Metylovice and Pstruží meet.

Nature and Trails

At the place called Antoníček, on the route from Ondřejník to Lhotka, a turn-off to the village begins, marked by a cross bearing an inscription. Two benches invite visitors to rest there. The spring “Pramen Olešné” can be reached via the green-marked trail from Antoníček towards Lhotka.

The stream originating at the Pramen Olešné spring flows through the eastern part of Lhotka as well as through Metylovice and Palkovice, and then supplies a recreational reservoir of the same name.

Culture

The “Kaple Navštívení Panny Marie” chapel in Lhotka was built in 1844 from donations. With the archbishop’s permission, regular monthly services began to be held in the chapel in 1925 whenever possible. The “Amfiteátr U školy” amphitheatre in Lhotka is used for cultural events, especially the “Sochovy národopisné slavnosti”.

Sport and Cycling

The “Sportoviště Kuřín” sports centre has a multi-purpose pitch with artificial turf and a reconstructed grass football pitch. In 2020, a workout area, several outdoor training machines, an obstacle course, spring rocking rides and a sandbox were added there.

The 21-kilometre cycling trip “Okruh kolem Ondřejníku” includes a green-marked section leading to Lhotka.
