Culture
The stone Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built between 1335 and 1345. It is the oldest stone church building in the Frýdek-Místek District and a protected cultural monument.
Nature and trails
At 354 m, Sovinec is the highest point in Fryčovice and currently serves as a game enclosure where a herd of white-tailed deer is kept. The Obora Sovinec educational trail is intended for recreational walking. It leads from the center of Fryčovice westward to the Sovinec game enclosure and onward to the neighboring villages of Kateřinice and Trnávka.
Cycling
The marked cycle route No. 6006 runs along existing roads from south to north through the center of Fryčovice. It forms the Olešná–Hukvaldy–Brušperk–Olešná circuit and passes through Fryčovice.
Recreation and sports
FRY Relax Centrum features a relaxation pool with two counter-current systems, a water jet, and a whirlpool feature. It also has a squash court with a glass back wall and spectator area. The badminton court is open to the general public; visitors to FRY Relax Centrum can cool off in an outdoor pool after using the sauna.
Community life
A traditional Easter market in Fryčovice, held on Thursday, April 6, from 4 p.m. on the Náves in the center of the village, featured cimbalom music, children's workshops, the braiding of Easter willow rods, an Easter Bunny with a basket full of sweets for children, the sale of Easter decorations, and refreshments provided by local organizations.
