A notable local landmark is Štandl: at 350 metres above sea level, it is the highest point in Sviadnov and has been designated a registered significant landscape element. Significant terrain traces of medieval fortifications have been preserved on Štandl; archaeological rescue excavations took place there between 1988 and 1992.
Nature
The Pod Štandlem wetland in Sviadnov was revitalised in 2024–2025. It includes a wooden footbridge, and numerous fruit trees were planted in its surroundings. In addition, the Ostravice River in Sviadnov has been designated a Natura 2000 site of Community importance.
Culture and History
The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Sviadnov has an organ built in 1891 by the organ builder Jan Tuček from Kutná Hora. The mine complex with its headframe in Sviadnov has also been designated an immovable cultural monument.

Mount Kyčera is located in the vicinity of Sviadnov. The mountains Skalka, Ostrá and Malchor are located in the wider regional surroundings of Sviadnov. Kończyce Małe Castle – Zamek XV w. is also located there.
Leisure and Trails
Tourist route No. 7926 and the Štandl educational trail have been preserved in Sviadnov. The Ostrava–Beskydy cycle route No. 59 runs mainly on paved surfaces.
Jezdecký klub Sviadnov offers children riding lessons, hippotherapy and show jumping, and organises several equestrian, hobby and children's events throughout the year.
