Nature and Landscape
The cadastral area of Písek u Jablunkova includes Plenisko, a nature reserve. The area contains numerous waterlogged places and the source area of the Bystrý stream.
Under a regulation from 1998, the nature reserve protects natural, primeval forest-like stands with a gene pool of autochthonous firs, beeches, spruces and sycamore maples.
The Olše river corridor near Písek is a Site of Community Importance within the Natura 2000 network. The section of the Olše in the Písek area predominantly has a rocky to gravel riverbed with frequent gravel deposits and a largely unmodified riverbed.
Cycle Routes
Cycle Route 56 Bukovec–Bohumín runs through Písek and is part of the Krakow–Moravia–Vienna Greenway there. Cycle Route 10 Olše also runs from Bukovec via Písek to Chotěbuz.
In the centre of Písek, Cycle Route 6086 crosses Cycle Route 56. The educational cycle route “In the Footsteps of Metallurgy” runs along the Polish border to Nýdek, continues over the ridges of the eastern Těšín Beskids with beautiful views, and reaches Písek.

Bus route 783 connects Třinec, Jablunkov, Písečná, Písek and Bukovec.
Local Culture
The new church of the Evangelical congregation in Písek u Jablunkova was completed in 2010 and is considered architecturally very interesting. Písek u Jablunkova is also associated with a local Goral dialect.
The branch church in Písek is a simple building with a sacristy and rooms for congregation members. Its tower is made of concrete and carries a bell. The church was solemnly consecrated on 24 September 1995.
