Hiking

The Camino Frazacoz footpath runs north from Hoz de Jaca to Panticosa. It passes through a dense boxwood forest with lush vegetation and lies on a shaded slope.

The Camino de Santa Elena y Biescas footpath leads from Hoz de Jaca along the left bank of the Río Gállego to Santa Elena. From there, you can continue along the same bank to Biescas.

A forest track beginning in the municipality of Hoz de Jaca leads for approximately 12 kilometres to the mountain lakes of Sabocos and Asnos and offers exceptional views.

The “Apadrina tu sendero” project involves restoring trails and footpaths for hiking, as well as maintaining the ethnographic heritage of the municipality of Hoz de Jaca.

For planning purposes, you can compare the routes side by side by landscape, course, starting point and approximate length. The settings vary between forest, riverbank, mountain lakes and reservoir. You can then place the desired type of activity alongside them. The routes mentioned therefore do not form a single trail: when comparing them, you can assess the starting point in Hoz de Jaca, the respective landscape and the route that follows separately. This makes it clear whether the focus is on a forest path, a riverside connection or a longer route to the mountain lakes, without equating the routes with one another.
