Geographical Setting

The peaks of Punta del Regal de la Neu, Tuca de Urmella, Pico Gallinero and Pico Cogulla are located in the vicinity of Castejón de Sos. On the OR-6 route along the Río Ésera, you can observe a diverse birdlife among willows, poplars, ash trees and oaks and enjoy the tranquillity of the meadows and riverbank.

The trails differ in their route form and course: PR-HU 86 has a fixed starting point, PR-HU 88 returns to its starting location as a circular route, and Ruta BTT 23 connects several sections between localities. The OR-6 nature route, on the other hand, focuses on birdlife, riverside vegetation and the river landscape.

Culture

The Ermita del Puy can be reached from the piste near the gorge after approximately a five-minute walk. You can reach the Ermita de la Virgen de Gracia on foot from the fountain in El Run; the site is signposted and has an information board.

On 12 October, the feast in honour of Nuestra Sra. del Pilar is celebrated in Castejón de Sos.

The livestock fair includes a market on the main street with almost fifty stalls. There, you can taste and buy handcrafted agri-food products.
