Hausham lies right between Lake Tegernsee and Lake Schliersee and is a starting point for activities in the Tegernsee-Schliersee Alpine region. Nature at Huberspitz

The nature discovery trail at Huberspitz invites you to explore the local nature and mountain forest in Hausham. Exploration and rally sheets offer a two- to three-hour nature experience. The sheets are intended for all visitors, especially school classes. The elevation gain is around 300 metres; the trail is not accessible to people with disabilities. When planning, therefore, take into account both the time required and the elevation profile and accessibility. Cross-country skiing: route, technique and access

A cross-country ski trail about six kilometres long in Hausham starts at the central sports facility and runs past the cemetery and the Agatharied fire station to the Haslrain ascent. It can be skied using either the classic or skating technique; the difficulty is rated easy to moderate. The length, route and technique can help you decide whether the trail suits your preferences.

The trail between Hausham and Agatharied has four access points. One is at the sports facility or Regenbogen Kindergarten in Hausham. When planning a day of cross-country skiing, both the route and the available access points are useful reference points. Seasonal grooming may vary, so check the current conditions before setting off.

Church, museum and exhibitions

St. Anton Parish Church houses the Koulen organ, which has 32 stops and dates from 1911. Regular church concerts have been held there since November 2013. Two events also have a regular place in the annual calendar around the church: the family-friendly folk festival and the Christkindlmarkt (Christmas market). At the Hausham Mining Museum, a collection of mining tools, mine maps, fossils and minerals, pictures, miners’ lamps and numerous detailed models illustrates the community’s mining past. Changing exhibitions at the Kunst- und Kulturhaus (Art and Culture House) complement the cultural offerings.

Herbs and distillery

Claudia Bernhardt regularly leads herb walks on the Moosrainer pasture.
