Views and Trails
The Miloňová lookout tower is a 24 m high wooden tower offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. It can be reached via the green circular trail. A cycling route from Velké Karlovice to Valašské Meziříčí is more than 57 km long.
Culture
The Karlovské Museum is located in the historic centre of Velké Karlovice. A dedicated exhibition at the museum documents the production of pressed and hollow glass in the local glassworks, which have since ceased operations. In its ethnographic collection, the museum displays locally made agricultural and mountain-pasture equipment, as well as methods for processing wool and flax and producing sheep cheese.
The wooden Church of Our Lady of the Snows in Velké Karlovice was founded in 1754 by František, Count of Žerotín. It has a cross-shaped wooden structure and a Baroque tower above the centre of the church. A timbered Fojtshof building dating from the 18th century has been preserved in the Bzové Valley.
