Location and trails
Vigantice lies in a valley formed by the Hážovka stream. Měřístek is a tributary of the Hážovka that is of interest from a natural history perspective. Vigantice is also situated on the road from Rožnov via Hutisko-Solanec onward to Velké Karlovice.
Nature
The rare marsh gladiolus grows in some of the wet meadows in Vigantice. Two orchid species also occur in some of the wet meadows in Vigantice. In summer, the protected corn crake can be heard in several meadows in Vigantice.
Culture and history
The Catholic Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Vigantice was built in the Neo-Gothic style between 1911 and 1913. Its tower provides shelter for a summer colony of the critically endangered lesser horseshoe bat. Limestone used to be quarried near Vápenky. Fossils of Mesozoic animals were also found there.
Hiking and cycling routes
One recommended hike leads from Súš at the Na Suši signpost along a yellow-marked hiking trail to Hutisko-Solanec. Another beautiful route leads via Súš and the Sůlovská cesta along a blue-marked hiking trail to Díly. Walks and relaxation are possible at “u skály” in Kopcích. By bicycle, you can travel via Súš to Dolní Bečva; the cycling connection via Súš to Dolní Bečva can be linked to a cycle path.
