In the Chobotský dvůr area of Kuklík stands a protected large-leaved lime tree. The tree is 25 metres high and has a trunk circumference of 820 centimetres.
Nature and Villagescape
Kuklík lies in the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. There are two protected trees in Kuklík. The individual houses are spread along both banks of the Fryšávka stream.
The preserved villagescape includes a series of brick farmsteads as well as numerous timber-framed houses with gabled façades.
Path through Kuklík
The approximately 16-kilometre hike “Around Kuklík from the Lime Tree to the Ironworks” begins in Kuklík. The route leads through the Chobot area and then to Chobotský dvůr. For this hike, parking is available in Kuklík at the municipal office.
History
Iron ore was mined at several locations in Kuklík from the second half of the 18th century onwards. A former mine adit has survived to this day and is one of the most productive sources of spring water in the entire region.
