Podolí: Hotels and accommodations

Podolí is located in the landscape character area of “Novoměstsko–Bystřicko”. Mount Ambrožný and Dědkovská hora are situated in the vicinity of Podolí; Mount Babylon and Mount Víckov are located in the wider regional surroundings.

Nature and trails

The marked Mlynářská stezka trail runs through Podolí along roads III/36041 and III/3884. A section of the Okolím Bobrové educational trail also extends into the southeastern part of the municipality of Podolí.

Culture and regional architecture

Podolí is part of the regional folk architecture zone “Horácký dům” (“House of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands”). A distinctive historical landmark is Gohialův kámen rock near the Bobrůvka River on the road toward Bobrová. A cross, a skull, the name Gohial and the year 1785 are carved into it. The rock commemorates a tragic event in which a stone killed one of the stonemasons who were making stone troughs there.

The memorial plaque for legionnaires in Podolí was unveiled on 9 October 2011.

Cycling tours

The marked cycling route “Mezi rybníky a lesy” runs through Podolí, Radešínská Svratka and Řečice. It is signposted with blue arrows and the number 2. The charity cycling tour “SE ŽĎASEM NA KOLE DĚTEM ŽĎÁRSKÝMI VRCHY” also passed through Podolí.
