Čížov is home to the neo-Gothic Chapel of St. Florian, a local landmark dating from 1787.
Culture and history
The chapel contains six additional stained-glass windows. In two of them, it is discernible that they previously contained figurative depictions of saints. In 1359, the burgher Frenclín Schober from Kutná Hora assigned the Čížov fortress to the brothers Vojslav and Chřábek from Pozdětín.
In the wider region around Čížov is the castle site “Roštejn [Doupě]”. The ruins of Janštejn and Orlík are also located there.

The blue-marked Jihlavský okruh hiking trail runs through the municipality of Čížov and is connected to several other marked hiking trails.
The mountains Popický vrch, Sokolíčko, Rozhledna and Kalvárie are located around Čížov. Smetanovy sady Park is also situated in the area.
Events and activities
The traditional St. Florian pilgrimage is scheduled to take place at the sports field in Čížov on May 9, 2026. A program for children and adults was announced for the pilgrimage, including a juggling and theater performance by the Kašpaři group, children's competitions, a bouncy castle, tattooing and face painting, as well as children's workshops.
