The area's protected landscapes include CHKO České středohoří, CHKO Labské pískovce and the Východní Krušné hory Nature Park. Porta Bohemica is a prominent natural attraction in the region. Vaňovský vodopád is 12 metres high and is one of the highest waterfalls in České středohoří.

A 25-kilometre section of the Labská stezka uses asphalt and paved surfaces. The terrain is easy, with only minor changes in elevation.

Culture and History

Hrad Střekov was founded in 1318 to protect a trade route. Muzeum v přírodě Zubrnice includes a farmstead with the permanent exhibition “Chmel, který stavěl domy”.

Velké Březno Chateau was built between 1842 and 1845 for Count Karel Chotek and later remodelled in the Neo-Renaissance style. It presents detailed interiors, historical stories and accompanying visitor events. In the Mlýnské údolí complex, Mlýn Týniště includes a functioning mill.

Masarykovo zdymadlo is a technical monument built between 1923 and 1936 that includes a hydroelectric power station and a fish ladder. Svádov is known for spring radishes and strawberries sold along the road.

Getting Around

A cable car connection from the Forum shopping centre to Větruše was introduced in 2010. DÚK bus route 451 serves the route from Mírové náměstí in Ústí nad Labem to the Telnice area.
