Písečná U Jablunkova is located on the right bank of the Olše. The stream Kotelnice runs through the elongated municipal area; hiking trails also lead through Písečná toward the Beskids mountain Bahenec.
Landscape
The mountains Velký Stožek, Kiczory, and Gírová are located in the immediate vicinity of Písečná. Mount Mały Stożek is situated in the area around Písečná. In the wider regional surroundings lies the Golgota Beskidów Cross monument.
Culture
A mass is celebrated in the Chapel of Saint Isidore in May on the saint’s feast day. Three crosses stand near the chapel. Since 1990, a Way of the Cross has been organized annually during Lent.
Events and leisure
The multifunctional cultural center in Písečná includes, among other things, a workout area. During the summer months, the Letní kino na výletišti summer cinema is held regularly.
The Výletní a sportovní areál Písečná features a grass soccer field with portable goals and nets, as well as an asphalt court for ball sports. The complex also includes a children’s playground with climbing frames, swings, carousels, and a sandbox.
