Janov in the Orlické Mountains: Hotels and Accommodation

Janov combines a weaving history with a varied landscape in the surrounding area. In 1894, Janov had 94 looms; the last loom in Janov remained in operation until 1970. Janov is also home to the Chapel of Saint Joseph.

The Olešenka valley near Janov is lined with wooded slopes. The area around Janov features elevations with unique panoramic views of the wider surroundings, as well as intimate floodplain meadows along streams with remarkable flora.

A cycle route begins in Janov. On the cycle route starting from Janov, a yellow-marked tourist trail leads to Panský rybník. In the area around Janov, a trail marked blue at first and then green leads to the pilgrimage site of Rokole after 2 km.

Culture

The “Pálení čarodějnic” festival took place in Janov on 30 April 2023, 2024, and 2025. Janov is also one of the municipalities where participants in the annual fairytale game “Kačenčina pohádková říše” collect stamps.
