Sněžné: Hotels and Accommodation
Sněžné lies in a gentle valley of the Náchodská vrchovina in the northeastern part of the Orlické Mountains, at an elevation of 540 to 738 metres above sea level.
Landscape
In the vicinity of Sněžné there are botanically interesting, wet to marshy meadows with globeflowers, orchids, spring snowflakes and primroses. Also nearby, on the left bank of the Zlatý potok, lies the Louka u Čtvrtečkova mlýna nature monument, where spring snowflakes bloom abundantly. From the hill above the Panny Marie Sněžné Chapel, there are views of the surrounding area and the ridge of the Orlické Mountains.
Culture and History
In the second half of the 18th century, a linen manufactory was established in Sněžné, employing up to 500 domestic weavers. The former linen manufactory building No. 1 is a protected wooden structure. Visitors can also see a traditional former wooden school building in Sněžné.
The Panny Marie Sněžné Chapel was consecrated in 1892 and is an architecturally and historically significant building in Sněžné. The village's tourist attractions include numerous log houses and the unfinished Skutina fortification. It forms part of the Czechoslovak border fortification system, which was built along the then border of Czechoslovakia between 1935 and 1938.
In the N-S 48 U Stodol bunker of the Skutina Fortress Museum, there is a 36-metre-deep shaft with 201 steps. Approximately 9 metres of a concrete gallery are accessible underground. The site was opened to the public in 2001 as the Skutina Fortress Museum. Another historical discovery was made in 1961: a hoard of 2,500 white coins of Władysław II was found in Sněžné.
Routes
The marked cycle route 4214 leads from Janov and Tis through Sněžné and Polom by the chapel to Olešnice v Orlických horách and is approximately 7 kilometres long. The marked cycle route 4325 leads from Sněžné through Janov and Ohnišov to Dobruška and is approximately 12 kilometres long.
The Bílé lišky educational trail is a 3-kilometre circular route with 18 stops focused on nature and local history. It begins at the Panny Marie Sněžné Chapel on the edge of the village, leads through the forest and a municipal avenue, and returns to the chapel. The educational trail includes information boards with tasks and play features, including a dendrophone and a fitness wheel. A blue-marked hiking trail passes by the Panny Marie Sněžné Chapel in Sněžné.
The easy route from Sněžné through the valley of the Zlatý potok and back starts at the Horalka chalet in Sněžné and is also suitable for children in a bicycle trailer.

There are five bus stops in Sněžné: Sněžné-dolní, Sněžné, Sněžné-Horalka, Sněžné-Na Krahulci and Sněžné-odbočka Dobřany.
