Nature
The eastern part of Krkonoše National Park covers 65 % of the park area within the region and extends across the territories of 16 municipalities. More than 400 km of official cycling routes are also designated within the national park.
Sněžka reaches 1,603 meters and is the highest mountain in the Czech Republic. Its summit can be reached via several routes or by cable car. The Chapel of St. Lawrence and the Anežka Post Office, considered the highest building in the Czech Republic, are located there.
The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks form a significant sandstone rock city landscape with narrow gorges, high rock towers, and caves. Several hundred plant and animal species live on the Orlice and in its immediate surroundings, including around 120 protected species.
Trails
In the Orlické Mountains section, hiking and cycling trails run along the main ridge. These include the Jirásek Trail, which connects natural landscapes with military history. The Bohemian-Polish Ridge Trail also passes through an area associated with historic events and reaches sacred and military monuments.
A tour of the lookout towers begins in Nový Hrádek and ends in Deštné; a bus connection back is possible. Adršpach railway station is located directly in front of the entrance to the rock park. Cycling routes lead directly to the Adršpach Rocks, and there is bicycle storage near the entrance. One of the routes is suitable for children and can be shortened by returning by train from Teplice.
The Cyklookruh Rozkoš is approximately 19 kilometers long and connects municipalities around the Rozkoš Reservoir. This cycling loop includes rest areas, shelters, service stations, bicycle racks, and charging stations for e-bikes.
Culture
Kuks Hospital is a Baroque complex with a Church of the Holy Trinity, the Sporck family crypt, Braun sculptures, a Baroque pharmacy, a monastery garden, and a sculpture lapidarium.
The historic center of Hradec Králové is home to the White Tower and the Gothic Church of the Holy Spirit; it also features architecture associated with Josef Gočár. Hradec Králové is also a regional cultural center with Rock for People, a jazz festival, and exhibitions.
The Veselý Kopec open-air museum presents traditional folk architecture, period cottages, mills, and demonstrations of historic crafts. Podorlicko is regarded as an area with picturesque towns, historic monuments, and traditional craft production.
Broumov Monastery is considered a Baroque masterpiece. Visitors can relax there, stay overnight in monastic cells, or refresh themselves in the local bistro and restaurant.

The 35-kilometer-long Krkonoše Beer Trail combines mountain hiking with tastings at local microbreweries. Golf facilities include, among others, the Grund Resort GOLF&SKI, the Grosshof Golf Club, and the Hrádek u Nechanic course in an English castle park.
Safari Park Dvůr Králové offers rides among freely roaming African animals as well as overnight stays above the animals. The municipal forests of Hradec Králové feature dozens of kilometers of paths for walkers and cyclists, as well as educational trails and rest pavilions.

Regional food traditions include Krkonoše kyselo, a sauerkraut and potato soup, and Krkonošské trubičky, which are filled with nuts and honey. Other specialties include Trutnov gingerbread, Krkonoše sausages, and East Bohemian bramborák seasoned with garlic and marjoram.
