The parish church of St Bartholomew in Bystré was built between 1716 and 1720 to replace an earlier sanctuary. It was destroyed by fire in 1750 and repaired in the following years. The last major exterior and interior restoration took place from 1869 to 1973; during this work, the original paintings on the triumphal arch and the Rococo paintings on the ceiling and pilasters were uncovered.
