Culture and History

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Dříš, a district of Deštné v Orlických horách, was built and consecrated in 1809. The Museum of Winter Sports, Tourism and Crafts features exhibitions on woodcarving, linen production, glassmaking, and milling. The Church of St. Magdalene is a single-nave Baroque church built between 1720 and 1726 to a design by J. B. Santini.

Trails and Landscape

The “Okolím Deštného” educational trail begins in Deštné-Zákoutí and leads back to Deštné, to the Národní dům. It introduces visitors to the natural beauty and history of the region. The “Na hřebeny Orlických hor” cycle route is moderately difficult and suitable for road bikes, mountain bikes, and trekking bikes.
