Les: Haro Traditions, Thermal Area and Nature Trails
Themed route “Castèth de Les, Passejada pera Istòria d’Aran” consists of nine elements and includes, among other things, Castillo de Pijoert. The CIRCUITO TERMAL in Les includes indoor and outdoor pools, three hot tubs, a Finnish sauna and a relaxation area. The route and thermal area focus on different aspects. You can weigh both themes separately when planning your day, without assuming a fixed order.
Nature and Trails
Les offers routes through forests and alpine meadows with views of the Val d’Aran. In the vicinity of Les are the peaks Tuc des Tres Corets, Malh des Bessons, Cap dera Sèrra and Cabeza de Tonete. The Les–Era Lana–Les route passes the 12th-century Romanesque chapel of Sant Blai de Les, located behind Era Baronia, and reaches Era Lana after approximately 1,200 metres on a flat meadow.
The landscape and trail information can be considered different formats for your planning: forest and meadow trails, named peaks and a path to a flat meadow stand alongside one another.
Culture and History
On 23 June, Les hosts the Crema deth Haro, a fire ritual in which traditional dances accompany the burning of the Halhes; the Halhes are torches made from cherry-tree bark. During the Quilha deth Haro, a new Haro is erected on 29 June. In the wider region around Les are the Basilique Saint-Just, a church, and the Cathédrale Notre-Dame, also a church.
You can treat the two June dates as separate calendar events and classify the church destinations independently of this date connection. If interests change, culture, nature, relaxation and sporting activities can be weighted separately. A comparison by themes and route formats keeps your own planning open and does not require a uniform daily schedule.
When choosing accommodation in Les, travel dates, room category and cancellation policies can constitute different criteria. These details can be considered separately alongside the topics mentioned for Les—route, thermal area, nature and culture—and ranked according to their respective importance.
Further destinations in the same wider region: Os De CivĂs, Rialp, Espot, Bellver De Cerdanya, La Coma, Sant Llorenç De Morunys, TĂrvia, Esterri De Aneu
