Siegbach is a municipality in the Lahn-Dill district of Hesse. The area has historical associations as well as landscape features in the surrounding regional area.

Culture and History

There were once three castles in the municipality of Siegbach. They were located in Eisemroth, Wallenfels and Tringenstein.

The wider regional area around Siegbach is also home to several castles and palaces: Greifenstein Castle, Gleiberg Castle, Biedenkopf Castle and Braunfels Palace.

The former border between Hesse and Nassau still exists as the district and municipal boundary between Siegbach-Wallenfels and Bad Endbach-Schlierbach. At the edge of the forest, this boundary is marked by a boundary stone.

The wider regional area around Siegbach also includes Eichwäldchen and Kleiner Ahlertsberg. Dornheck and Gerhardsberg are located in the immediate vicinity.

Another landscape reference leads to the Wallenfels area of the municipality: In a view facing east, fields appear in the foreground; the view extends towards the Schelderwald and Angelburg.
