The municipality of Wiggensbach’s local history collection is housed in the Wiggensbach Information Centre, the “WIZ”. Its themes range from geology and local history to rural living and religious folk art, as well as art treasures from the Gothic and Baroque periods. Crafts, trades, agriculture and education are also represented. The Wiggensbach Local History Museum grew out of the collection.
The WIZ exhibition programme includes oil paintings, watercolours, acrylics and mixed-media works, as well as sculptures, photographs, handicrafts and nativity scene exhibitions. These varied forms of artistic and craft-making are displayed alongside the local history collection. St. Pankratius Parish Church in Wiggensbach offers a particular connection to the town’s history: it is considered Johann Georg Specht’s most important independent work.

It is 10 kilometres long and runs via Blender, Schmidsreute and Westenried before returning to Wiggensbach.
