Winter activities
The Ledová stěna Vír is an artificially created icefall recognized as a training ground by the ČHS and used for ice climbing practice.
Hiking and viewpoints
The Vír via ferratas are steel cable-secured routes above the Svratka and the Vír Reservoir that can also be tackled by beginners. Reserved equipment for the ferrata can be collected at the Krabička climbing hut on the right bank of the Svratka.
The Vír educational trail leads from Továrna to the dam; it also includes a branch leading to the Klubačice rock viewpoint. Parking is available directly on the Továrna grounds. On the Klubačice rock rising above the Svratka, there is a narrow viewing platform at a height of just under 100 m, secured by a railing.
At Uhelna, it is possible to jump from a platform installed at a height of 26 m.
Cycling
The Gravel Tour Vír is an easy 34 km route on gravel roads. The E-Bike Route Vír 8 is designed as a moderately difficult wilderness trail.
Culture
The Vírský mlýnek is a water-powered mechanism with moving figures near the Bystřice stream in Vír. In 2007, the municipality of Vír had a replica of the Navrátil mill mechanism made.
