Prosetín is home to the Protestant Toleration Prayer House, which is considered the oldest Toleration Prayer House in Moravia and the Czech Republic. It was built in 1782 according to the provisions of the Toleration Patent issued by Joseph II.

Churches and Local History

The Catholic Church of St Margaret replaced a wooden predecessor in 1738. Its complex includes a freestanding brick bell tower. The bell tower contains three bells: one from 1534 and two from 1925.

An Evangelical church dating from the second half of the 18th century stands in the northern part of Prosetín; the local cemetery adjoins it. Prosetín is first mentioned in medieval sources in 1390.

The Prosetínský dub oak has stood for several centuries and played an important role in the construction of the local Evangelical church. During the Second World War, it served as a starting point for a local partisan group. The group hid in the area around the Evangelical church and had a radio transmitter concealed there.

On the grounds of Prosetín's former lime kiln, the chimney, kiln and concrete foundations of the former wooden bridge have been preserved.

Landscape and Nature

Prosetín lies in the Svratecká hornatina Nature Park, in an ascending valley at an altitude of 540 to 590 metres above sea level.

The Kocoury natural monument is a significant natural feature in Prosetín. It is a small strip of woodland with thermophilous vegetation on a limestone substrate. It is home to grass-rich plant communities with species of botanical-geographical importance, as well as a population of the endangered and specially protected snowdrop anemone (Anemone sylvestris).

Educational Trail, Hiking Trails and Cycle Routes

Part of the Štěpánovský čtyřlístek educational trail runs through Prosetín. A section of Cycle Route 5087 also runs through the northern part of the village. Cycle Route 5086 passes through the eastern part of Prosetín and runs from Starý Svojanov to Nedvědice.

On the outskirts of Prosetín, a hiking route turns onto the yellow-marked trail towards Olešnice.

Prosetínské trubičky

Prosetínské trubičky are made using a traditional recipe: butter puff pastry is complemented with light meringue and a little lemon juice.
