Rajov: Hotels and Accommodation

Rájov lies at the foot of the Ore Mountains (Krušné hory) at an elevation of 540 to 600 metres. Among the marked trails that provide access to the Ore Mountains (Krušné hory) is the yellow-marked Perštejn–Rájov–Mýtinka hiking trail.

Nature

Rájov is predominantly characterised by scattered buildings used for recreational purposes. An unnamed stream in Rájov belongs to the Ohře drainage basin. The area of Perštejn with Rájov is part of the CHOPAV Krušné hory protected water area and the proposed CHKO Střední Poohří protected landscape area.

The mountains Vysoká seč, Šumná, Planina and Pekelská skalá are located in the vicinity of Rájov.

History and Culture

Rájov was first mentioned in writing in 1431. The “Trpícího Krista Spasitele” chapel is located in Rájov. East of Rájov, calcareous dolomite was mined in a quarry and used to produce building lime.
