Mezihorí: Hotels and Accommodation

The Mezihoří ski resort has two downhill runs, one red and one blue. Two drag lifts serve the runs; snowboard lessons are also available.

Winter sports and routes

Free parking is available to visitors at the Mezihoří ski resort. The ski resort can be reached by regular bus services and can also be left using these services. The Mezihoří–Blatno loop route begins at the ski resort opposite the bottom station of the large drag lift.

The Mezihořský vršek loop route runs through the area around the villages of Mezihoří, Zákoutí and Mezihořský vršek. It is 15 km long and of medium difficulty. The easy Mezihoří–Blatno loop route is 3.5 km long each way.

History and village character

Mezihoří was founded on 10 September 1577. The village was formerly known as Gerštofr and, in German, as Gersdorf.

A chapel dating from 1900 stands in the upper part of Mezihoří. It was reconstructed, including its interior. The Griessel Mill, also known as Höfer Mill, still stands today; remains of its millrace have been preserved.

Even before the war, two hiking trails to Mezihoří were signposted, one from Chomutov and one from Jirkov.
