Hlušovice: Hotels and Accommodation

On the cycle route from Olomouc to Šternberk, Hlušovice is the first stop; here, the route leads to a pond in the centre of the village.

Water and Trails

Willows grow beside a second pond in Hlušovice, and a water sprite figure stands on an island. The Maják Hlušovice leisure area is also located on the Hvězdná cycle route (Olomouc–Šternberk), featuring a restaurant in a replica marine vessel, a stylish Captain Club and a lighthouse.

Leisure and Events

The municipal sports complex in the centre of Hlušovice includes a tennis court and can be rented via an online reservation form. Letní kino Hlušovice was held in 2024 and 2026 as an open-air cinema at the municipal sports ground, with refreshments available.

The Drakiáda kite festival in Hlušovice on 7 October 2023 featured communal kite flying, inflatable attractions for children, a kite trail, workshops and a puppet theatre. The Gulášfest in Hlušovice on 7 October 2023 included goulash tastings, a winner’s selection and a raffle.

Culture and History

The Neo-Gothic branch Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Hlušovice was completed in 1926. It is still in use and belongs to the Bohuňovice parish. On the road to Dolany stands a Baroque wayside shrine over 200 years old, with a triangular ground plan. Another wayside shrine was erected in 1795 to commemorate a severe hailstorm.
