Doloplazy is situated in the first hills of the Tršická pahorkatina. The Růžový Kopec and Skalice mountains are located in the surrounding area; the Kopaniny hill [Výkleky] is also nearby. Further away in the wider region is Stráž mountain.

Culture and History

A chapel dedicated to Saint Urban once stood on the site of the present-day church. The local church was consecrated to Saints Cyril and Methodius in May 1896. Opposite the chapel in Doloplazy stands a valuable Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, which has been listed as a cultural monument since 1958.

Local sights in Doloplazy include a statue of Saint Wenceslas and several crosses. Doloplazy is also home to a monument to President Masaryk; a monument to the fallen stands in the village square.

The Kostel sv. Michala church is located in the vicinity of Doloplazy. Further away is the Kostel Panny Marie Sněžné church.

Event

Jízda králů takes place in Doloplazy as a traditional ethnographic festival. The event dates given for 2026 are July 4 and 5.

Čechovy sady Park is located in the vicinity of Doloplazy. Further away in the wider region is the Pomník obětem 1. světové války memorial.

Transport and Townscape

A heavily trafficked motorway runs just a few hundred metres from Doloplazy. In the village square, the town conveys a peaceful rural atmosphere despite the nearby motorway traffic.
