The Údolím Vošmendy educational trail is a 5.5 km circular route that can be walked in either direction; the center of Roztoky u Semil can serve as a starting point. The trail includes eleven information panels, rest areas, a play feature, and interactive elements for children.
Nature and Trails
The Údolí Vošmendy nature reserve lies in the Vošmenda Valley on the western border of Roztoky u Semil.
Blue- and green-marked hiking trails lead through Roztoky u Semil toward Vysoké nad Jizerou. Cycling Route No. 4173 also passes through the village toward Jesenný.
History and Crafts
Roztoky u Semil was first documented in 1356–1360. Iron ore was once mined in the village.
Traditional household occupations in Roztoky u Semil included weaving, glass grinding, and stringing beads. During the First Republic, several glass-grinding workshops were established there.
The historic Roztocký mlýn water mill was established in 1656 and contains authentic mill equipment from the 17th to the 19th century. It is located in Fiedlerovo údolí on the Staroveský potok.
Local Attractions
Rychta 1748 is a farmstead in Roztoky u Semil reconstructed in the traditional style; visitors are invited to tour it.
