Trails and Winter

An 11 km hiking route starts and ends at the square in Jablonec nad Jizerou. It leads past St. Procopius Church, the cultural centre, the Jizera, Přední Blansko, the fire station and a viewpoint, and returns to the square through the valley of the Sklenařický stream.

Another 11 km hiking and cycling tour leads through Jablonec nad Jizerou and Končiny, over Stráž Mountain and through Zimní strana, before returning to Jablonec nad Jizerou.

The Jizera is navigable by raft mainly in spring, especially in March and April during the snowmelt. On 19 September 2026, the 47th edition of the commemorative march “KAM NEDOŠEL VELBLOUD” will also take place in Jablonec nad Jizerou in memory of Vilém Gernert. Hiking routes of 7, 11, 27, 36 and 41 km and cycling routes of 34 and 68 km will be offered.

Culture and Leisure

Regular church services can be attended at St. Procopius Church in Jablonec nad Jizerou. The Četnická stanice Museum presents a historic gendarmerie station and can be visited during opening hours or by arranging an individual appointment.

The Pilišťata sports complex has a municipal swimming pool that has been in operation since 1937 and was converted into a bathing facility in the early 1970s.

Landscape and Regional Surroundings

Čertova hora is a mountain in the surroundings of Jablonec nad Jizerou. Zadní Plech and Šeřín are also mountains in the surrounding area; Wodospad Kamieńczyka is a waterfall there.

Zamek Chojnik is a castle in the wider regional surroundings of Jablonec nad Jizerou. Spalona Strażnica is a ruin there. Lázně is a church there, and Valdštejn is also a church there.
