Culture

In Svojek, timber-framed building No. 28 – Alinčovi and the farmstead complex No. 33 – Prášilovi are listed immovable cultural monuments.

Services are occasionally held in the Chapel of Saint Anthony. It was built with the support of Antonín Dejmek and consecrated in 1939.

Next to the former school in Svojek, which is now used as a cultural centre, stands a statue of Saint Wenceslas. The statue was restored and treated against the effects of the weather in 1999.

The Calvary sculpture is located in Tample, a district of Svojek, below the nursery school.

House No. 35 – Flajšrovi is located in the centre of Svojek on a road. It was formerly a mill and later a smithy. The protected complex comprises House No. 35, part of the dam of a former pond, part of the surrounding stonework, a well, and the defined plots of the complex.

Transport and Trails

IDOL bus route 543 operates on the Semily–Košťálov–Libštát–Bělá–Svojek connection. In the Svojek area, the route timetable lists the stops “Svojek”, “Svojek,Tample” and “Svojek,,rozc.Tample”.

Cycle Route No. 4294 passes through Svojek.

Local Life

A traditional firefighters’ ball is held annually in Svojek.
