Loukov Nad Jizerou: Hotels and Accommodations
Accommodation in Loukov Nad Jizerou
Loukov preserves a medieval village layout, considered the only surviving remnant of its medieval development. The historic village centre consists of a narrow, slightly irregular rectangular village square. Along its sides are farmsteads with irregularly rectangular courtyards and three-sided buildings on medieval plots enclosed by stone walls.

Church and History
The Church of Saint Stanislaus of Kraków in Loukov is a late Baroque stone church built between 1786 and 1795. The parish church in Loukov was first mentioned in written records in 1352. Its complex includes a rectory, barns and two cemeteries. The church has four bells: one dates from the 16th century, while the other three were acquired in 1977.
The old cemetery by the church, which is no longer in use, is enclosed by a low sandstone wall with an octagonal Baroque chapel from the second half of the 18th century and an altar by the sculptor Antonín Sucharda. Archaeological finds indicate that the site of Loukov Fortress was inhabited from the 14th to the 16th century. The site is freely accessible.
Traditional Villagescape
The traditional architecture of Loukov consists primarily of wooden houses, wooden granaries and other farm buildings. Much of the surviving development dates from the second half of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century. The annual pilgrimage in honour of Saint Stanislaus takes place on 8 May.
