Bela-Dulice: Cross-country skiing and mountain landscape of the Veľká Fatra

Belá-Dulice is located in the mountainous surroundings of the Veľká Fatra in the northeastern part of the Turiec Basin. Jasenská dolina has three groomed cross-country ski trails with a total length of 7 km. Jasenská dolina is also a year-round recreation center.

Winter

A blue-marked cycling route 8 km long runs between Belá-Dulice and Jasenská dolina. The educational trail between the municipality of Belá-Dulice and the Jasenská dolina–Kašová recreation center is available for recreational and sports activities and is suitable, among other things, for Nordic walking. This trail has been accessible since 2009.

A moderately difficult hike leads from Belianska dolina and Jasenská dolina to Lysec at an elevation of 1,381 m. Lysec is a national nature reserve.

Nature

The landscape is complemented by several named mountains in the surroundings of Belá-Dulice. The named mapped mountains Lučenec, Tlstá, Preložnica, and Prieraztin are located in the surroundings of Belá-Dulice.

The wider regional surroundings of Belá-Dulice also include several named mapped ruins: Zniev, Starý Hrad, and Likava. These destinations do not belong to the immediate locality but are assigned to the wider regional surroundings.

Culture

A historic bell tower dating from 1861 stands at Rajčuli in Dulice. Dulický Hrádok is also among the older cultural sites; it is a National Cultural Monument and an archaeological site from the early historical period. Hradište is likewise a National Cultural Monument from the early historical period; its trapezoidal ground plan dates from the La Tène period.

The Roman Catholic Church of Najsvätejšieho tela Kristovho is located in Belá-Dulice. It is an Early Gothic church from the last third of the 13th century and was renovated in 1749 and 1856. Its building history therefore encompasses both its medieval origin and two explicitly mentioned renovation phases.

The cultural life of the locality includes the Turčianske divadelné dni. The annual regional competition and showcase include the non-professional adult theater Belopotockého Mikuláš and the youth theater FEDIM. The municipality of Belá-Dulice is a co-organizer; the venue is the cultural center in Belá-Dulice.

The Lysec folklore ensemble also reflects the regional culture. Its repertoire includes the dances „Čardáše z Belej“ and „Horňje lúky“ from Belá-Dulice.
