Kraliky: ski hotel, ski slopes and Králická tiesňava

Winter

Ski Králiky is the clear focus of winter activities in Králiky. The ski area has four easy ski slopes with a total length of 2,330 meters. The facilities include a four-seater express chairlift, two ski lifts and a children’s rope lift in the ski kindergarten. Several kilometers of cross-country ski trails are also groomed around Ski Králiky. Alpine skiing on the easy slopes and cross-country skiing are therefore represented as separate winter sports.

The lift system comprises different uphill facilities: the four-seater express chairlift complements the two ski lifts, while the children’s rope lift is assigned to the ski kindergarten. Králiky’s winter offering thus includes both the easy slopes and the groomed cross-country ski trails around Ski Králiky.

Activities

The range of activities also includes the Králiky climbing area. The main wall faces south, and the climbing routes are vertical to slightly overhanging. Next to the main tower is a second climbing tower with seven routes.

The Chodník č. 16 hiking trail is another option. Its section runs from Kordíky to Chata nad Králikmi and takes approximately one and a half hours. The time indication is an estimate and refers to this section of the trail.

Nature

Králická tiesňava comprises gorge-like natural landscapes and is a protected natural monument. A 2-kilometer section is part of a circular trail. In the gorge, the water of the Farebný potok plunges 7 meters over a rock ledge. The waterfall is located in dolomite and dolomitic breccia.

The waterfall is particularly impressive when the water level is higher. This applies, among other times, during the spring snowmelt and periods of prolonged rainfall. In Králická tiesňava, the gorge landscape, protected status, circular trail section, rock ledge and geological substrate are closely interconnected.

Getting there

A regional bus runs regularly from Banská Bystrica to Králiky.
