Landscape, Trails and Parks

Aldeno lies in a rural landscape with vineyards and orchards on the eastern slopes of Monte Bondone. The surroundings therefore combine agricultural areas with trails leading from Aldeno into the countryside.

The public Parco Albere park can be reached from the centre of Aldeno via a footpath along the Torrente Arione. The trekking route “Da Aldeno a S. Osvaldo di Garniga Nuova” begins in Aldeno and initially leads through the surrounding vineyards. It then continues through the green vegetation of the Dossi and reaches Garniga Nuova.

The “Sentiero Attrezzato delle Stel” is a circular route on the slopes of Monte Bondone, accessible from Aldeno. The trail includes equipped sections, for which a via ferrata set is required. The via ferrata set is therefore one of the items of equipment that must be specifically planned when preparing for this circular route.

Sport fishing is practised in the municipality of Aldeno, mainly in the Parco delle Albere. There, the local fishing club manages two ponds and a refreshment area.

Buildings and Historical Traces in Aldeno

Castello delle Flecche is one of the buildings in Aldeno that have been declared to be of cultural interest. The parish church of San Modesto in Aldeno was built between 1767 and 1776. It has a single-nave layout and four side chapels, each with a marble altar. The interior is decorated with colourful stucco; the Baroque high altar has columns and statues.

The civic tower still stands in Aldeno’s historic centre. It is the only surviving element of the former Church of San Zeno. The former Church of San Zeno dates from the 16th or 17th century and was demolished in the 18th century.

The route “Da Aldeno alla Chiesetta di Postal” also brings you to a historical testimony: the route leads to an old lime kiln with explanatory signage.

The event “Il Comun Comunale Lagarino” commemorates the medieval territorial administrative unit on the right bank of the Adige in Vallagarina. This unit included Isera, Nogaredo, Villa Lagarina, Pomarolo, Nomi, Aldeno and Cimone.

Events and Local Topics

In 2025, the “De Volt en Cort” festival programme included crafts, activities for children, cuisine and live music. Aldeno is also home to the summer event “Calici di Stelle”, which takes place on the night of Saint Lawrence. The night of Saint Lawrence provides the specific timing within the summer.

Aldeno hosts the historical event “Mostra dei Merlot d’Italia”. Together with the vineyards and orchards, winegrowing is therefore also one of the themes visible in the townscape and at the town’s events.
