Historic Center and Local History

The term “historic center” refers to the older core of a town. Large polygonal stone fountains stand in the historic center of Siror. Folk frescoes adorn the façades of the houses in Siror’s historic center. The Museo della Scuola is located in a former primary school building in Siror; advance booking is required for visits. The Tabià di Siror is a centuries-old barn in the center of Siror. The parish church of Sant’Andrea was built in the 14th century and rebuilt in 1720. The old municipal seat preserves frescoes from the 16th century.

Exhibitions and Tours

The Sentiero delle Leggende is locally known as “El trói dele S-Cione” and is associated with a permanent exhibition of wooden reliefs. The wooden reliefs are inspired by the legends of the Primiero Valley. The circular route near Siror begins at parking areas close to Vallombrosa Park and leads visitors around Siror. Numerous historical and artistic sights lie along the circular route near Siror. Scopro Siror comprises six historical and artistic guided tours in and around Siror. The Scopro Siror tours meet at 10 a.m. at the tourist office in Siror.

Cycling Route, Climb and Pump Track

The Ciclopedonale di Primiero is a panoramic path suitable for everyone that connects the valley floor at Masi di Imer with Siror. The Ciclopedonale di Primiero is fully paved. The Italian term Ciclopedonale refers to a combined cycling and pedestrian path. The Primiero Pump Track features banked turns, rollers and bowls and borders a skills park. A pump track is a riding course in which such shaped elements define the route. The Primiero Pump Track is almost 200 meters long. In 2018, the Primiero Pump Track hosted a round of the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship. The route from Siror to Passo Rolle climbs from Siror to Passo Rolle.

Advent Season and Procession

The Advent season refers to the period before Christmas. Siror hosts the oldest Christmas market in Trentino, held every year during the Advent season. A procession is a ceremonial procession that may follow a designated route through several places. The procession of the Gran Festa del Desmontegar starts in Siror and passes through Fiera di Primiero and Transacqua before reaching Tonadico.

Nature Park and Forests

The term nature park refers to an extensive landscape area. Siror lies within the Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino Nature Park. Siror lies at the foot of Sass Maor. Numerous hiking and walking trails run through the forests surrounding Siror.
