The Istitut cultural ladin Majon di Fascegn is based in Vigo di Fassa. It is located in the historic Tobià de la Pieif, a monumental barn next to the Pieve di Fassa.
The Church of Santa Giuliana has been a highly venerated sanctuary of the valley for centuries and is located above the town of Vigo di Fassa. Inside the Church of Santa Giuliana, there is a large fresco depicting scenes from the life of the patron saint of the Fassa Valley. The Pieve di San Giovanni was considered the mother church and was the valley’s ecclesiastical and civic center for centuries.

The Museo Ladin de Fascia presents the history of the valley and the Ladin community from prehistoric origins to the present day. Its topics include traditions, legends, crafts, and historical events. The Museo Ladin de Fascia also offers the Pigui Experience: a virtual reality game about the valley’s first inhabitants 2,400 years ago. The experience lasts approximately 20 to 30 minutes and is suitable for children aged 9 and over. Virtual reality refers to a digitally generated environment that can be experienced spatially.
Winter and Mountain Panorama
In winter, a cable car from Vigo di Fassa takes you to the natural amphitheater of Ciampedie, located at an altitude of 2,000 meters. The term natural amphitheater refers to a stage-like terrain formation shaped by the landscape. From Ciampedie, you can ski on the slopes of the Catinaccio ski area.
