Monte Purito: Tubing and Adventure Park
Monte Purito has three tubing slopes. Tubing refers to a separate sliding activity; the term “slopes” should therefore not be equated with ski slopes. The Selvino Adventure Park comprises seven high-rope courses among the trees of Monte Purito. For a day at Monte Purito, tubing and the high-rope courses can be scheduled as separate activities. The three tubing slopes and the seven high-rope courses thus represent different forms of activity on the same mountain.
Nature at Monte Purito and in Bosco dei Cristalli
Shells of marine animals have been preserved in the rock layers of Monte Purito. In Bosco dei Cristalli, many tourists search for Selvino’s quartz crystals, known as the “Stelle di Selvino”. Those who plan to visit both natural sites can consider the rock layers at Monte Purito and the quartz crystals in Bosco dei Cristalli as different natural themes.
Parks in Selvino
Parco Vulcano has numerous facilities, including slides and swings. Parco Osio has the “animali del bosco” trail, created by sculptors to give new life to the trees damaged by the strong wind of 2018. Sciesopoli and MuMeSE
Between 1945 and 1948, Sciesopoli in Selvino took in 800 Jewish children and young people who had survived the Shoah. MuMeSE displays wooden stelae engraved with the names of the 800 children taken in at Sciesopoli who had survived the Shoah. The years 1945 to 1948 mark the period when children were taken in at Sciesopoli, while the wooden stelae at MuMeSE display the engraved names.

The Chiesa Santi Filippo e Giacomo was built in the 18th century. It was rebuilt in the first decades of the 20th century. The two construction phases therefore took place in different centuries.

Connection between the valley and the plateau
The Albino-Selvino cable car connects Albino in the lower Val Seriana with Selvino on the Selvino-Aviatico plateau. In geographical terms, the two locations are clearly distinguished: Albino is assigned to the lower Val Seriana, while Selvino is assigned to the Selvino-Aviatico plateau. Anyone tracing the connection between the valley and the plateau therefore places Selvino not in the lower Val Seriana, but on the Selvino-Aviatico plateau. This distinction can serve as a spatial orientation when travelling to Selvino, without presupposing any further traffic or travel-time information.
