Valtorta: Ski Resort, Cross-Country Skiing and Mountain Culture

For winter sports, the Valtorta–Piani di Bobbio ski resort is the main attraction in Valtorta. There, the lifts from Valtorta are connected to the lifts on the Piani di Bobbio. The starting area of Piani Bassi di Valtorta on the Sentiero 103A contains a protected wetland. The Sentiero 104A leads to the village of Falghera. Valtorta also has a distinctive cultural side. The Ecomuseo di Valtorta is housed in the historic Casa della Pretura, a building dating from the 15th century. The Chiesa della Torre, with its valuable frescoes, is part of the decentralised museum system of the Ecomuseo di Valtorta. In addition, construction of the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in Valtorta began in 1898, and it was consecrated in 1907.
