The ten o’clock bell in the winter half-year

The old custom of the “ten o’clock bell” has been preserved in Sulzbach to this day. From 1 November to 1 March, the bells ring every evening at 10 p.m. to help hikers who have lost their way find their bearings in darkness and snow.

Heuchelheim and the old trade route

The historic Heuchelheim marketplace is located in the immediate vicinity of Sulzbach, at the junction of an ancient trade route from the Glan to the Moselle.
