Another activity at the Oberaudorf-Hocheck adventure mountain is the TÜV-certified summer toboggan run. It is around 1,000 metres long and descends from the middle station to the valley station. Length and station sequence are two different details: around 1,000 metres refers to the length of the run, while the middle and valley stations describe its route.
The activities therefore differ in form: disc golf involves a course with holes at two stations; the summer toboggan run is a descent from the middle station to the valley station.
The History Trail and the Local History Museum in the Burgtor
The Oberaudorf History Trail passes Luegsteinsee and Grafenloch Cave. The history of the Auerburg ruins is also explored along the trail. Historical topics are therefore a focus alongside the places along the route. At the end of the History Trail, you can take an optional detour to the local history museum in the historic Burgtor.
The museum displays exhibits and offers historical insights into geology, settlement, transport on the River Inn, Auerburg, mountain riflemen and tourism. Its themes thus range from geology and settlement to local history and tourism. A visit to the museum is a separate addition to the History Trail: you can include it as an extra stop, but you do not have to treat it as part of the entire trail.
The museum is listed as open on Tuesdays and Sundays from May to October, from 2 to 6 p.m. Check before your visit whether these seasonal hours apply to your date. This will help you decide whether to include the optional detour in your History Trail plans.
