Historic Market Square and Kulturhaus

The historic market square is accessible from the southeast through the Salzburg Gate and from the northwest through the Munich Gate. The location of the two gates helps you find your bearings as you explore the square. The rows of houses around the market square are decorated with colourful Lüftlmalerei frescoes, making the façades one of the townscape’s most striking features.

At the Kulturhaus im Markt, you can explore a range of cultural subjects in one place. The museum includes a fossil exhibition as well as exhibitions on Inn River shipping, the Neubeuern Choir Community under Enoch zu Guttenberg, Neubeuern Castle, and the V.T.E.V. “Edelweiß” Neubeuern. The Galerie am Markt regularly displays contemporary art by artists from Neubeuern as well as guest artists. Lake Neubeuern and nearby routes

Neubeuern can be reached on the BRB Chiemgau-Inntal via Rosenheim or Raubling stations, as well as by bus routes 9490 and 9572.
