In 2018, it was carried on a four-day pilgrimage on foot, covering 175 kilometres from Svata Hora (Holy Mountain) in Pribram to Witzmannsberg. The year identifies this as a past event; its duration and distance give an idea of its scale. Nature, cycling and hiking routes in the region
Within the broader Passau destination, the Haus am Strom Nature Experience Centre is located in the Danube valley between Bavaria and Austria, downstream from Untergriesbach. The Danube-Ilz Cycle Path runs from the Danube near Niederalteich through the Sonnenwald and Dreiburgenland regions, then through the Ilz Valley to Kalteneck/Hutthurm. Its described route connects several named landscapes, providing a regional cycling link.
The Danube Cycle Path also runs through the Passau region. Following an assessment by the German Cyclists’ Federation, it received a 4-star rating.
