Another circular route is the Kohlstatt loop: this approximately 19-kilometre cycle route leads to the hamlet of Kohlstatt, past the Greiner inn and towards Austria. For a glimpse into history, there is the Ungarsteig: in the 16th century, it was a cattle-driving route along which hundreds of Hungarian oxen were driven every year to Regensburg and Nuremberg, and as far as the Rhine.
Weaving museum and crafts
The weaving museum in Breitenberg displays equipment for processing flax, weaving, dyeing and blue printing, as well as painted farmhouse furniture from Breitenberg. The exhibits offer a glimpse of everything from flax processing and textile craft techniques to traditional rural furnishings. In 2026, the museum is open from 12 May through 15 October inclusive.
