Located in the former casino of the thermal park in Allevard, La Galerie, Musée d'Allevard-les-Bains, presents how the area's metallurgical industry, thermal spa and Collet ski slopes were shaped over the centuries by natural resources such as iron ore, thermal water and “white gold”.
If you would like to book a hotel in Allevard, choosing the specific accommodation is a separate part of planning your trip.
Culture and history
The Tour du Treuil was a former keep used to monitor a possible arrival of the Savoyards. The nearly 25-metre-high, square fortified structure overlooks the Allevard valley.
Thermal tradition
Since 1849, the Thermes d’Allevard have combined tradition and innovation, developing treatments and therapy protocols in which the special properties of their water are complemented by treatments from numerous specialist fields. The Thermes d’Allevard also include an appealing park and an Art Deco-style building.
Nature and trails
Lac de la Mirande is a peaceful natural site on the outskirts of Allevard-les-Bains. The lake offers fishing opportunities, a fitness trail and a walking path around the lake. Its natural surroundings are suitable for observing mallards and amphibians.
The Tour du pays d'Allevard is a GR trail with impressive panoramas.
